Homeland (In)Security - Bash the Bad Guys

Ever since the creation of Homeland Securitym the organization has been the target of much criticism from the public.
When you stop to think about the crimes of 9/11 and then think of how this organization was founded, only to see how it has behaved ever since, it is frightening.

From huge ammunition purchases to the outfitting of local police organizations with military style weapons and armament, these strange goings-on of HSA invite a lot of questions as to what it is planning.

It certainly seems like they are making plans for domestic violence. Why would they be doing that? Do they expect mass chaos to occur during which time they will keep us all safe from ourselves (or are they protecting the government from its people)?
